Zoroastrian college has pioneered and promoted research in ancient indian vastu knowledge -The Scinece of Positioning of Things on Planet Earth and the origins of architecture .The largest no. of Phd. Reserch thesis on the subjet of Vastu have come thorugh this department of Zoroastrian college since sbout 1995 onwards.more then 85 research thesis have been submitted .

The first head of this dept is Prof. Dr.B.B. PURI of Delhi, chairman of Vedic Vastu Research Institute .Since then the following persons are connected to this department.

Prof. Dr. B.B.Puri is a multifaceted personality and he is a Senior Practicing Architect, Research Scholar, Author and Vastu Advisor. He is associated with numerous professional organizations. His achievements highlight his versatile character. Prof. Puri has added a new resear ch dimension and scientific approach to Vedic Culture making it a modern concept. His mission is to propagate the new dimensions in the Vedic Philosophy and get due recognition for it.

Prof. Puri’s creative ability has earned him many commendations from Dr. ZakirHussain, Shri V. V. Giri, Dr. GianiZail Singh, and Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, former Presidents of India. He was also honoured with a shield and testimonial by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Ex-Prime Minister of India.

He has traveled widely and has participated in and headed many National and International Conferences and Seminars. He is the recipient of numerous awards and notes of appreciation from renowned personalities, India’s Who’s Who Book (1978) and Prominent Personalities of India (1979) featured biographical notes on Prof. Dr. Puri. He has been honoured with the Millennium Award and a Gold Medal at the Millennium World Congress (2000) for his lifetime achievements.

Prof. Puri has written more than 100 books, The Hon’ble President of India has released his popular books titled ‘Vedic Architecture & Art of Living’ and ‘Applied VastuShastra in Modern Architecture. His latest book titled “Vastu Science For 21st Century to Enjoy the Gift of Nature’. ‘The Ageless Mind’ and ‘The Art of Blissful Living’ have been well received.

Design Gurukul is a pioneer institution, which gives technical and specialized training to interior designers, architects, engineers, environmentalists and other people associated with building industry, on the various aspects of design. The institute has felt a need for professionally trained consultants in the market. The institute primarily intends to enhance and fine tune the creativity levels of the designers and add a specialization to their spheres of knowledge.
